Google continues adding more features to its social network. On Monday, the company announced the introduction of embedded posts and started rolling out automatic author attribution.
Embedded Posts are available to everyone from the drop-down menu located at the top right of public posts. Just click the ‘Embed post’ link, then copy and paste the code into the page of your choice. Visitors will be able to interact with the content through +1s and comments, and follow the author. However, there is no sharing ability.
Note that only specific types of updates are supported:
Posts with images - The post will render with the image. Clicking the image directs the visitor to the image view on Google+.Posts with videos - The post will render with the video. Clicking the video will play the video within the embedded post.Posts with links to a community - Your visitors can click through to view the community as they would in the stream.

Events and Hangout on Air posts and posts shared in Communities cannot be embedded.
Google has also integrated Google+ Sign-In with Authorship. From now on, whenever a person uses their Plus credentials to sign into specific platforms, the articles they publish will automatically be associated with their Google+ profile. The name and picture appearing on that profile may also be featured next to the content in search results, including News.
“We’re piloting this integration with two major platforms today: Wordpress and Typepad. We’re also working with a variety of other sites — including About.com, WikiHow, and Examiner — so we can learn and expand the pilot to all kinds of sites and apps using Google+ Sign-In,” says Seth Sternberg, Director of Product Management, on The Google+ Developers Blog.
