Twitter announced on Wednesday a series of new updates for the iPhone and Android apps and Twitter.com.
Tweets belonging to the same conversation are now connected with a vertical line and shown in chronological order. Users will see a maximum of three Tweets in sequence in their home stream and will just have to tap a message to access the replies from all participants – even the ones they do not follow.
This new feature comes with the ability to email conversations to friends. Android users may also choose to share them through direct messages.
Additionally, Twitter has started adding a report button that allows people to expose abuse and spam directly from their smartphones and the Twitter website. The button should be available to all within the next few months.
This week, AllTwitter reported that the company is testing a new feature for Twitter Cards on mobile devices. When replying to an article, the author’s handle is automatically added to the Tweet, even if it was not included in the original message.
