When Graph Search was officially introduced earlier this year, many people started worrying about the negative impacts the new functionality could have.
Since then, Facebook has worked around its internal search engine to make more and more things discoverable, including public posts. The company recently got rid of the “Who can look up your Timeline by name?” setting and changed the default sharing setting for new accounts opened by teenagers.
Those recent decisions continue raising questions as to how safe sharing content on the giant social network truly is. The answer is: Nothing is safe on the Internet, unless you exercise caution. First, start with your privacy settings.
