Poor Apple TV didn't get a look in at the keynote Apple's keynote yesterday was all about the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, with no new announcements regarding the iPod or Apple TV.
But we're now hearing that Apple TV is set for a big overhaul soon. In fact, it could be arriving alongside iOS 7 on September 18, according to AllThingsD
"People familiar with the company's plans" say a refresh will take place next week, and will include an update to Airplay that will let you play iTunes-purchased content on another person's TV, all done via the cloud.
Could this indicate we might see a few thematic changes too? Given Apple TV has kept the TV and iOS separate it's unlikely, but who knows.
Of course this is nothing but speculation right now so we wouldn't recommend Apple TV fans get too excited. But iOS 7 will most certainly be landing on September 18 - that's a fact.
iTunes Radio, Apple's new music streaming service, will also be dropping on that day. Safe to say this is turning out to be one of Apple's busiest months ever.
