Riding Shotgun with the Pheasants Forever Rooster Road Trip 2011.

It’s 6:53AM in northwest Kansas, legal shooting time. The shotguns are loaded, the bird dogs have been turned loose and Pheasants Forever’s Rooster Road Trip 2011 is underway!

This week, Nov. 14th through the 18th, you're riding shotgun online for a hardcore pheasant hunting trip. A trio of Pheasants Forever hunters and two bird dogs will hunt five states - Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota - in five days, posting stories and video along the way. The catch? This group will be hunting ONLY public land.

Included in the Rooster Road Trip 2011 will be lands Pheasants Forever has played a significant role in opening up to public access; either through land purchase, restoration or legislation. If you’re a current Pheasants Forever member, thank you, as your support enables the organization to accomplish such work. If not, join Pheasants Forever through this special link this week only and you’ll receive a Browning Pheasants Forever cap and be entered to win a Browning Citori 12 gauge shotgun.
