Another 2 arrested for involvement in Orchard Cineleisure slashing

SINGAPORE — Another two male suspects have been arrested for their involvement in the slashing incident at Orchard Cineleisure last weekend.

The police said in a statement today (June 20) that the two suspects, both age 21, were arrested yesterday.

They will be charged in court on tomorrow for the offence of rioting armed with deadly weapons. A court order will be sought to remand them for further investigations.

Any one convicted of rioting with deadly weapons could be jailed up to 10 years and liable to caning.

On Tuesday, Mizra Abdul Azman, 23, and Muhammad Fahmi Razali, 20, were charged in court for their alleged involvement in the slashing. They are accused of rioting with parangs on June 15 shortly after 9pm at the mall.
